28 IAS officers get new assignments in Gujarat

As many as 28 IAS officers have been given new responsibilities in Gujarat in major reshuffle. Gaurangbhai H Makwana is transferred and his services are placed at the disposal of the Energy and Petrochemicals Department for appointment as Managing Director, Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Ltd. (UGVCL), Mehsana, while Prabhav Joshi will take charge as Joint Managing Director, Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation, (GIDC), Gandhinagar and H J Prajapati joins as District Development Officer, Amreli.

Likewise, K J Rathod will be posted as Managing Director, Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Ltd. (DGVCL), Surat; Suthar Raj Rameshchandra as Municipal Commissioner, Porbandar Municipal Corporation, Porbandar; Mahesh Shantilal Jani as Mission Director, Gujarat Urban Livelihood Mission, Gandhinagar; Smit Santosh Lodha as Deputy Municipal Commissioner, Surat Municipal Corporation, Surat; K P Joshi as District Development Officer, Devbhumi-Dwarka; D K Brahmbhatt as District Development Officer, Gandhinagar; M P Pandya as Managing Director, Gujarat Medical Services Corporation Ltd., Gandhinagar; Hiren Jitendrabhai Barot as District Development Officer, Dahod and B. K Joshi is transferred as Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Gandhinagar.

Further, R N Kuchara is appointed as Regional Commissioner of Municipalities , Rajkot; C B Ganatra as Managing Director, Gujarat State Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd., Gandhinagar; C A Gandhi as Regional Commissioner of Municipalities, Vadodara and the services of B N Patel, Executive Director, Gujarat Gas Limited, Gandhinagar are continued to be placed at the disposal of Energy and Petrochemicals Department for appointment as Executive Director, Gujarat Gas Limited, Gandhinagar which is separately being equated with the equivalent IAS Cadre post

Among other key transfers, M K Joshi is shifted as Chief Executive Officer, Development Support Agency of Gujarat (D-SAG), Gandhinagar; A.K. Joshi as Managing Director, Gujarat Unreserved Educational & Economical Development Corporation, Gandhinagar; K S Jhala as District Development officer, Dangs-Ahwa; Services of V K Jadav, Director, Developing Castes Welfare, Gandhinagar are continued to be placed at the disposal of Social Justice and Empowerment Department for appointment as Director, Developing Castes Welfare, Gandhinagar which is separately being equated with the equivalent IAS Cadre post; D K Patel takes charge as Director, Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA), Gandhinagar; B H Patel as Managing Director, Gujarat Scheduled Castes Development Corporation, Gandhinagar; I R Vala as Municipal Commissioner, Junagadh Municipal Corporation, Junagadh; M D Chudasma as Managing Director, Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Ltd (PGVCL), Rajkot; Dr B S Prajapati as Managing Director, Gujarat State Rural Development corporation Ltd., Gandhiangar; V G Patel as Additional Rural Development Commissioner, Commissionerate of Rural Development, Gandhinagar; A K Vastani as Director of Employment and Training, Gandhinagar and P B Rathod is now Director, Skill Development, Gandhinagar.
