CBI arrests Assistant Commissioner of Customs in bribery case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested an Assistant Commissioner and Superintendents, Inspectors of Customs in a case related to alleged bribery and smuggling of goods. The accused are: M Venkatesulu, Assistant Commissioner, Customs, Airport, Trichy; Kalugasalamoorthy, Superintendent, Customs, Airport, Trichy; S Ramakrishnan, Superintendent, Customs, Airport, Trichy; S Anees Fathima, Inspector, Customs, Airport, Trichy; Prashant Goutam, Inspector, Customs, Airport, Trichy and Freddy Edward, MTS, Customs, Airport, Trichy.
