Fairfax Financial names Kannan as chairman

Fairfax Financial Holdings has proposed N S Kannan, former managing director and chief executive officer (CEO) of ICICI Life Insurance and former executive director and chief financial officer of ICICI Bank, as IDBI Bank’s chairman, subject to Reserve Bank of India (RBI) approval.
