ITDC reports steady growth in first quarter of FY

India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), a Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, has announced its unaudited financial results for the first quarter (Q1) of FY 2026–27, ended June 30, 2026. The Corporation maintained its growth momentum across its diversified business portfolios.

The turnover for the first quarter (Q1) of FY 2026–27 has improved by 4% over the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year and has increased significantly by 14% over the first quarter of FY 2024–25. Consequently, the Profit Before Tax (PBT) for Q1 FY 2026–27 has increased by 11% over Q1 FY 2025–26 and has jumped by 41% over the first quarter of FY 2024–25. The performance was driven by steady growth across Hospitality, Air Ticketing, Duty Free Operations, Consultancy, and other service segments, further strengthened by ongoing capacity-building initiatives and digital governance efforts, reaffirming the Corporation’s commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and customer-centric service delivery.

In line with its strategic priorities, ITDC reinforced its commitment to the IndiaAI Mission’s Cyber Surakshit Bharat through data-driven digital transformation and capacity-building initiatives by organising the ‘AI Champions for Digital Governance’ programme for senior leadership of PSUs and a programme on ‘Cyber Security’ to promote safe digital practices.

Commenting on the results, Mugdha Sinha, IAS, MD, ITDC, said, “Our Q1 performance reflects our continued focus on operational efficiency through data-driven decisions. Beyond business growth, we remain committed to building institutional capacity through initiatives in digital governance, cyber security, and AI. Going forward, we will continue to strengthen strategic commercial collaborations, embrace innovation, and enhance service excellence to contribute meaningfully to the growth of India’s tourism sector.”

Looking ahead, ITDC will continue to strengthen its business portfolio through strategic partnerships, technology-led innovation, and data-driven decision-making.
