Is CoronaVirus moving into VIP areas ?

Delhi is badly affected by CoronaVirus outbreak and number of infections are increasing rapidly. But for the last one week the virus is affecting officials and staff in VIP areas like South Block, North Block, Parliament, Shastri Bhawan, Udyog Bhawan, Nirman Bhawan, Shram Shakti Bhawan etc. Daily one or two floors or whole building are being closed for a day or two for sanitization. Till now one Secretary, one JS, one Addl PS to MoS, Industry & Commerce, Directors, Dy Secretaries, Under Secretaries and other staff  are tested COVID positive in different deptts.

 

 

Tipplers in Kolkata to get liquor at doorstep

The tipplers in Kolkata will soon be able to order their favourite drinks from the comfort of their homes. West Bengal State Beverage Corporation (Bevco), the state’s wholesale and distribution agency has signed an agreement with a food delivery service, a specialised liquor delivery service and a retail chain for home delivery of liquor.

 

SC to resolve border issue

Supreme Court wants a uniform policy for NCR movements and said one policy, one path and one portal was required. The Apex Court was hearing a petition citing inconvenience caused to the people as a result of sealing of borders by inter-state restrictions imposed in the National Capital Territory region (NCR) in the wake of COVID. The Court has asked Delhi, UP and Haryana Government to come out with a uniform policy for movement within the NCR region.
