Aiyer's Dinner ...

My friend works for a Foreign Relations Think Tank and he drops into my Office for a Coffee and over Muffins and Coffee we get chatting.

Me: There's a lot of talk about the Dinner at Mani Shankar Aiyer's place!!

Friend: Don't blame BJP for raising a hue and cry ...take a look at Aiyer's past ...in the past wasn't he the one who had requisitioned Pakistan's help to remove Modi!!

M: In this Dinner MMS ji and Hamid Ansari were there too....

F: This is what surprises me ...shouldn't an ex VP and ex PM inform MEA before  meeting the Pak Ambassador... though informal... but protocol must be demanding both inform MEA!!

M: Even RaGa did not care to inform MEA before meeting China's Ambassador..as an MP he should have...

F: And that too when the Dhoklan standoff was going on... now too the timing of the Dinner stinks.. Gujarat Elections.....

M: And the very next day Aiyer calls Modi Neech...

F: Any sane individual doing  a 1 + 1.... Aiyer's past.. his hatred for Modi... timing of the Dinner ..... ex DG Military Ops Pakistan saying Ahmed Patel is the suitable CM for Gujarat....... Gujarat elections on... Congress desperation to win in Gujarat ...would come to the conclusion ...Gujarat was a topic of Discussion...

M: Can't forget Aiyer's request to Pak... Humme le aaeeye aur inn ko hataaeeye aur koyi tareeqa nahi...so now too the individual who thought Pak can affect Indian  elections must have asked for help in Gujarat..

F: Some offers to Pakistan must have been made....quid-pro-quid....

M: But some who attended say... it was all about Indo-Pak relations.

F: The smoking gun ...as I have enumerated...doesn't point to  this!!

M: Will Government order an Inquiry...

F: And show India in a bad light...don't forget ex VP and ex PM were there .. even if MMS ji did not utter a word as is being touted...its prudent to let it be a election charge ... Public are very smart and perceptive!!

M: Now I hear Morgan Stanley

has opined the Indian GDP growth likely to accelerate from 6.4 per cent this year to 7.5 per cent in 2018 and further to 7.7 per cent in 2019... so now Commies in Kerala will send abusive Tweets to Cricketer Eoin Morgan... last time they bombarded Cricketer Tom Moody for Moody's positive outlook on India...

F: Sunna hai Shamshaan ki wall pe Congress ka poster... We are coming soon...

We have a good laugh and I see my friend off at the door.

What will be the political scenario in the country after 2019 general elections ?

General elections in the country are more than a year away though, political discussions regarding the scenario in 2019 Lok Sabha polls have already started with many saying that BJP be given another chance. We invite views of our surfers on the probable scenario after next LS polls – Will it be a repeat of 2014 or will the Congress reemerge or will there be a rise of some new political force (coalition minus the BJP and the Congress).
