Race on for post of DGP in Kerala

The race for Kerala DGP post took a fresh turn after the suspension of ADGP M.R. Ajith Kumar (1995). ADGP S. Sreejith (1996) has emerged as the frontrunner for promotion, with the Chief Secretary recommending his name. Nitin Agrawal, DG, Kerala (Fire & Rescue) retired on July 31, 2026, leaving an immediate vacancy.
