Supreme Court refuses to intervene in Kerala HC order on personal appearance of 2 IAS officers

The Supreme Court has refused to intervene in an order passed by the Kerala High Court that directed senior IAS officers K.R. Jyotilal, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance and Dr. Sharmila Mary Joseph, Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare to appear in person in a contempt case relating to implementation of pay revision for aided school teachers. Asking the officers to not take the issue as a matter of prestige, the apex court directed the officers to appear before the high court.
