Tripura: Six IPS officers senior to acting DGP on central deputation
There are almost half-a-dozen senior IPS officers of Tripura cadre, in comparison to GS Rao, IPS (1999 batch), who was given the additional charge of DGP. The Government order described Rao as the next senior-most IPS officer, serving in the state at that time. However, it was an emergency situation. But the fact remains that there are more senior officers, although on deputation to the centre. According to the seniority/posting information available, the senior officers are Rajiv Singh,1993 batch, who is holding the post of Secretary (Security) in Cabinet Secretariat, Puneet Rastogi, 1995 batch, who is Special Director General, BSF, M. Raja Murugan, 1996 batch, who is also on Central deputation, Saurabh Tripathi, 1997 batch, who is on Central deputation, Arvinder Singh, 1998 batch, Central deputation, RS Kamble, 1998 batch, Selection process for new DGP iwho is also on Central deputation and GS Rao, 1999 batch, who is Acting DGP.
