Vishnu Vardhan Reddy set to be first Telangana official to lead India’s consulate in Dubai

Senior Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer Dr. E. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy is expected to take charge as India’s next Consul General in Dubai, according to diplomatic sources. Upon official confirmation, the Telangana-born diplomat will achieve a historic milestone by becoming the first representative from the state to head India's Consulate General in the emirate.

This key appointment carries significant diplomatic weight. Dubai serves as a crucial hub for the vast Indian expatriate community and plays a pivotal role in India's economic and strategic engagement with the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
