West Bengal last in the race?

While all states across India have started appointment of 2017 batch as collector, West Bengal remains the only state where no 2017 batch IAS officer has yet been appointed as District Magistrate. Interestingly, it is also the state where 2007 and 2009 batch IAS officers are still serving as District Magistrates, unlike any other state in the country.
