Know the 3 Ex-Bureaucrats: K.G. Arunraj, U. Sagayam & M. Ravi, involved in Determining Governance if TVK Forms Government in TN

As actor Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) sharpens its political pitch ahead of the Tamil Nadu electoral cycle, a core group of former bureaucrats is emerging as crucial to its governance blueprint. These figures are expected to anchor the party’s administrative thinking and backroom strategy in the event of a breakthrough.

At the centre is former IRS officer K.G. Arunraj, currently serving as General Secretary for Press and Policy, who is seen as shaping TVK’s communication architecture and policy articulation. Alongside him is U. Sagayam, the retired IAS officer known for his clean image and administrative experience, likely to play a key role in institutional structuring and governance frameworks.

Retired IPS officer M. Ravi is also part of this inner circle, with sources indicating he could be central to internal coordination and enforcement-related strategy if the party assumes power.

Taken together, this trio reflects TVK’s attempt to blend political messaging with bureaucratic experience, signalling a technocratic underpinning to Vijay’s otherwise outsider-driven political project in Tamil Nadu.
