Dearth of eligible officers pose a challenge in choosing new Haryana Chief Secretary!

The Haryana state is facing the dearth of senior IAS officers. The Government is seeking the repatriation of four senior IAS officers to fill key vacancies in the state administration. The post of Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister has been vacant since October 1 after IAS officer Arun Kumar Gupta (IAS:1992:HY) retired on September 30 this year. Importantly, the post of Chief Secretary will be vacated by the incumbent Anurag Rastogi on December 31, 2026, after his term expires.
